The plant you will buy will be large in a 2 litre pot and about 8-12 inches high.
This hardy deciduous shrub forms a bush of arching branches arrayed with golden-yellow leaves, a fine setting for the ruby-red flowers in late spring.
Height and Spread: 120cm(4 ft) in 10 years.
Position: Will flourish in moist but not waterlogged soil. Best if sited out of full sun.
Planting: Water thoroughly before planting. Plant keeping the root-ball surface level with the surrounding soil. filling the hole with soil mixed with compost and a sprinkling of bone meal. Firm well and water in. Keep moist until well established.
Plant care: Thin out oldest stems of mature plants after flowering.
